You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own workload, diagnose faults and work directly with customers to get vehicles back up and running. \nWhat you’ll be doing\nDiagnosing mechanical and technical faults on commercial vehicle chassis and equipment.\nCarrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.\nPreparing vehicles for MOT inspection.\nUsing diagnostic software to identify and resolve faults.\nCompleting accurate job records using our workshop systems.\nWorking directly with customers and providing a helpful, professional service.\nTravelling to customer sites across the UK when required.\nTaking part in product training to continue building your knowledge and skills.\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou’ll have experience maintaining and repairing HGVs, refuse collection vehicles or similar heavy commercial vehicles, alongside:\nAn NVQ, City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, or equivalent.\nGood diagnostic and fault-finding skills.\nExperience with heavy vehicle body and chassis maintenance and repair.\nThe ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.\nA good understanding of vehicle technology and workshop systems.\nA practical approach to problem-solving.\nClear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.\nExperience working with electric vehicles, electronics or hydraulics would be useful, as would IRTEC, HGV Class 2, DVSA inspection, Volvo Tech Tool or Allison transmission training, but these aren't essential.\nA role with plenty of variety\nYou’ll work across customer and company locations, with the independence to manage day-to-day jobs while knowing support is available when you need it.
