This is a varied role combining management accounting, financial control and business partnering, with the opportunity to work closely with operational teams and help improve the way we understand and manage financial performance. The role reports to the Finance Director and includes responsibility for an Accounts Administrator. You might already be working at Finance Manager level, or you could be an experienced Management Accountant or similar finance professional ready to take your first step into a Finance Manager position.\nA little more about location\nWe can consider candidates based around Warrington, Worksop or Warwick. This is a predominantly office-based role, with regular travel between our Warrington, Worksop and Warwick locations depending on where you are based. Flexibility to travel is therefore important, and a car allowance is included as part of the package. There will be very limited opportunity for home working, so this role will particularly suit someone who is comfortable working primarily alongside our operational teams on site.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\nLeading the month-end process and producing accurate, timely management accounts.\nPreparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow plans.\nProviding clear financial insight to operational teams and department heads.\nManaging and analysing costs, margins, stock, working capital and business performance.\nWorking closely with operational teams to support decision-making and identify practical improvements.\nMaintaining effective financial controls and supporting statutory and tax reporting.\nSupporting the year-end audit and working with external auditors.\nHelping improve financial processes, reporting and systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.\nDeveloping reporting and dashboards using Power BI.\nSupporting and developing the finance team.\nProviding Group with monthly results, forecasts and budgets. \nWhat we’re looking for\nManufacturing experience is essential for this position. We’re looking for someone who:\nIs ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. \nHas proven finance experience within a manufacturing environment.\nHas strong management accounting and costing experience.\nUnderstands the financial drivers of a production environment and can work effectively with operational colleagues.\nHas experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP system within a production environment. \nHas experience supporting or managing others. \nCan analyse financial information and turn it into clear, useful insight.\nIs comfortable improving processes, systems and ways of working.\nCan work across different priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.\nIs comfortable travelling regularly between UK sites.\nExperience developing Power BI reports and dashboards would also be valuable for the role.\n\nWhy join us?\nThis is an opportunity to take a key finance role within a manufacturing business where you’ll work closely with the people making day-to-day operational decisions.It could also be a great next step if you’ve built solid experience in management accounting and manufacturing costing and are now ready to broaden your responsibility at Finance Manager level.\nIf you have a manufacturing finance background and you're ready for your next step, we'd love to hear from you.\nWe welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
