You'll play a key role in helping customers keep their fleets safe, compliant and operational. Whether you're currently working on HGVs, buses, coaches, plant machinery or other heavy vehicles, this is an opportunity to build on your experience and develop your technical skills within a specialist vehicle environment.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs an HGV Technician, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of specialist vehicles, working both in our workshop and at customer sites. You'll help ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability.\nYou'll also:\nDiagnose and repair faults on HGV chassis, refuse collection vehicles and mounted equipment\n\nCarry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance\n\nPrepare vehicles for MOT inspections and complete quality checks\n\nComplete mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, body and chassis repairs\n\nRecord completed work accurately using workshop and fleet management systems\n\nLiaise professionally with customers and colleagues to ensure work is completed efficiently\n\nFollow health and safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards\n\nContinue developing your technical knowledge through product and technical training\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance\n\nExperience maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, plant or specialist vehicles\n\nWell-developed diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n\nGood understanding of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems\n\nAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical information\n\nA commitment to quality workmanship, safety and customer service\n\nAble to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and customers\n\nGood IT skills and experience completing workshop documentation\n\nAdditional skills that would be beneficial:\nHGV Class 2 licence\nIRTEC accreditation or manufacturer training\nExperience working on electric vehicles\nExperience with Volvo Tech Tool, Allison Transmission or similar specialist systems\nIf you're an experienced vehicle technician looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
