Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-13:00 Friday
Salary: between £40,000 and £55,000 pa DOE
Do you enjoy solving engineering challenges and turning ideas into real products?We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Cab Engineering team. Working across the full product lifecycle, you'll help develop, design and validate future vehicle products, taking projects from initial concept through to production and ongoing improvement.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing components and systems for our vehicle cab range.
- Creating engineering drawings, CAD models and product documentation.
- Working with colleagues, customers and suppliers to develop practical engineering solutions.
- Supporting product testing, validation and launch activities.
- Investigating issues and driving continuous product improvements.
- Contributing to projects that deliver high-quality, reliable and innovative products.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
- Mechanical design experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- CAD experience, ideally Solid Edge.
- An understanding of engineering drawings, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working as part of a collaborative engineering team.
An HNC, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
