You’ll oversee quality from incoming components and manufacturing processes through to final vehicle inspection, working collaboratively across the business to improve standards, solve problems and help prevent issues from recurring. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical quality expertise with people leadership, supporting colleagues to make quality part of how we work every day.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nOverseeing quality across supplied components, manufacturing processes and final vehicle inspection.\nManaging, supporting and developing the PDI team.\nMaintaining our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.\nEnsuring vehicles meet relevant IVA, VBTA and Type Approval requirements.\nWorking with suppliers and internal teams to investigate issues and agree effective solutions.\nSupporting internal audits, root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nUsing continuous improvement tools including 5 Why’s, Fishbone, 8D, 5S and Kaizen.\nWorking closely with Production, Engineering and Purchasing to identify opportunities for improvement.\nCoaching colleagues and building quality knowledge across the operation.\nWhat we’re looking for\nExperience within a manufacturing engineering environment is essential for this role. \nYou’ll ideally bring:\nRelevant experience in a quality role within manufacturing engineering.\nExperience managing or supervising a team.\nA working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.\nExperience with continuous improvement, Lean and 5S.\nA practical and considered approach to problem-solving.\nThe ability to communicate clearly and build collaborative working relationships.\nGood attention to detail and an evidence-based approach to decision-making.\nA Level 5 vocational qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering, or equivalent. \nQualifications in quality assurance or inspection would be beneficial, but aren't essential.\nMake an impact on quality\nQuality in this role goes much further than final inspection.
