We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our Aftermarket team!\nThis is a practical role where you’ll carry out repairs, refurbishments, and installations on a wide range of refuse collection vehicles and equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and built to last.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCarry out general MIG welding and re-plating on HGVs and RCVs\nStrip and rebuild vehicle components including body, hopper, and bin lifts\nPrepare vehicles to DVSA and high welding standards\nComplete all work to customer satisfaction and within agreed timescales\nMaintain accurate records and follow company processes\nPromote good housekeeping and safe working practices\nOperate within company health and safety guidelines and use PPE appropriately\nSupport quality standards and raise awareness of any issues\nIdeal Candidate:\nQualified in welding/fabrication (BSEN 287 coding desirable)\nExperienced in MIG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication (2mm-10mm)\nAble to read and interpret engineering drawings\nSkilled in building and tack welding from drawings\nSelf-motivated with a “can-do” attitude and strong communication skills\nComfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments\nWilling to learn new skills and travel when required\nExperience in mechanical/hydraulic fitting and previous RCV work is a bonus\nIf you’re ready to bring your welding expertise to a team that builds with purpose, we’d love to hear from you!\nWe welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
