Determines special needs, e.g., high chairs, special menus.\n\nCollects payment from customers immediately, in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquires about food/service satisfaction and handles customer complaints/suggestions appropriately.\n\nSeats customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant, and introduces feature of the day.\n\nKeeps hostess area stocked and clean, e.g., to-go items and bakery products.\n\nHandles incoming telephone calls immediately, and takes to go orders as appropriate.\n\nMaintains proper supply of clean menus.\n\nPeriodically supplies customers with initial beverage suggestions and provides beverage order and refills.\n\nAssists service personnel in clearing and setting tables.\n\nResolves complaints as he/she becomes aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received.\n\nAssists other service personnel as needed.\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\nMinimum:$16.90 - Maximum:$18.59Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which the position falls.
