The ideal candidate is a decisive, hands-on leader with deep field experience, the ability to mentor field staff, and a strong command of the full construction process from site mobilization through final punch and turnover.\nKey Responsibilities\nField Operations & Site Management\nDirect all on-site construction activities from mobilization through final punch list and owner turnover, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards\nDevelop, maintain, and drive the three-week look-ahead schedule in coordination with the project manager; identify and resolve constraints before they impact the critical path\nManage site logistics, sequencing, and coordination of all subcontractor scopes to maintain efficient workflow and minimize disruption\nInterpret and enforce compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes; identify discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with the project management team\nOversee site setup, temporary utilities, access, signage, and housekeeping to maintain a safe and professional job site at all times\nSafety Leadership\nChampion a zero-incident safety culture; enforce OSHA standards and Forge Construction safety protocols across all trades and personnel on site\nConduct and document daily and weekly site safety inspections; lead toolbox talks and ensure all personnel complete required safety training\nRespond immediately and decisively to incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; complete required incident documentation and reporting\nEnsure all subcontractors maintain current safety plans, certifications, and compliance documentation on site\nQuality Control\nImplement and enforce Forge Construction’s quality control program; conduct regular inspections at critical milestones to verify work meets plans, specifications, and company standards\nIdentify and resolve quality deficiencies promptly; hold subcontractors accountable for rework and corrective action\nCoordinate owner, architect, and third-party inspections; ensure timely resolution of all inspection comments and punch list items\nSubcontractor & Trade Coordination\nLead daily and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings; drive accountability for schedule adherence, manpower levels, and work quality\nMonitor and document subcontractor performance; escalate performance issues to the project manager with supporting documentation\nCoordinate material deliveries, equipment, and staging to ensure trades have what they need to maintain productivity\nTeam Leadership & Mentorship\nSupervise and mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field staff; provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development guidance\nModel Forge Construction’s values and culture on the job site; set the standard for professionalism, work ethic, and team collaboration\nPartner closely with the project manager to align field execution with project goals, budget, and owner expectations\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain accurate and thorough daily field reports, including work performed, manpower counts, weather conditions, and any site issues or incidents\nDocument and photograph work in place at key construction milestones; support RFI and submittal processes in coordination with the project management team\nUtilize Procore or equivalent construction management software for daily logs, inspections, punch lists, and communication\nRequirements\nQualifications\nRequired\n10+ years of field construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent role on multifamily or senior living projects\nProven track record of successfully delivering ground-up construction projects from $10M-$75M+ on time and within budget\nStrong working knowledge of all construction trades, means and methods, building systems, and sequencing for multifamily or senior living construction\nProficiency with construction management software (Procore preferred) for daily logs, inspections, and field documentation\nDemonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop field teams including Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents\nOSHA 30-hour certification required;
