Additionally, the Operator II is proficient across all lines in the department and is used as a training and troubleshooting resource for the department. \nThis job function directly indirectly affects product quality\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :\nUnderstands production and quality metrics and performs accordingly to meet them\nFollow work instructions, material preparation procedures, visual aid, and inspection procedures as applicable\nRead work orders and follow Bill of Materials (BOM)\nFollow established company policies\nFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\nFill out proper documentation (i.e. traveler, production ticket, daily production report, process verification sheet, etc.)\nFollow quality controls inspection points\nPerform measurement verification with all relevant Quality equipment\nParticipate in problem solving activities\nParticipate in daily continual improvement activities\nMaintain a clean and organized work station\nCommunicate with Supervisor and other team members\nOther duties as assigned\n\nADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR MIM DEPARTMENT:\n\nCross train on PW-III, PW-II, and PW-I job duties in the PHX department\nMachine Operations:Perform Marking machine operations and control\nFollow start up and shutdown procedure\nPerform basic maintenance as required and fill out applicable 5S, TPM, PM and cleaning check sheets\nSet up and calibrate equipment as required\nPerform set-up inspection and continuous inspection as required\nPerform product change over, cleaning and adjustments\nPerform trouble shooting, line clearance, and routine cleaning\n\nADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR EXTRUSION & PACKAGING DEPARTMENT:\n\nMaintenance - fill out PM and cleaning checks sheets.\nPerform 1st piece inspection and continuous inspection.\nPerform Extrusion dies change over, cleaning and adjustment.\nPerform Extrusion trouble shooting, purging and cleaning.\nSetup and calibrate adapter less tip size base on required specification program in Zumbach.\nMaterial drying and mixing procedures.\nQuality inspection and scrap reporting.\nPerform measurement verification with caliper, comparator, scale and pin gauges.\nSupport Unit Lead in execution of cycle counting program.\nSupport Unit Lead in schedule compliance in department. \nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: \n\nMust be proficient with using small hand tools\nWork independently as well as coordinate and communicate with other team members and departments\nAbility to perform basic math calculations and weight conversions\nAble to cross train in other areas as assigned\nDependability and ability to adapt to change are essential\nAbility to read, write and communicate in English\nMust be capable of basic computer interactions and data entry\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nIndividual contributor\nEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nHigh School Diploma/GED OR equivalent work experience at the discretion of the Hiring Manager\nENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nLimited temperature fluctuations, air conditioned environment\nExposure to general manufacturing environment\nNon-allergy to Latex\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nMust be able to sit/stand for at least 4 hours at a time\nHave normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects\nPossess a normal extended reach\nConsistently uses manual dexterity \nHave the ability to determine color acuity\nMust be able to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs\nThis job description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended) expected of an incumbent.
