The Financial Reporting & Controls AM will be based out of Bangalore and will support the Finance Controller - US Media team , in driving the appropriate financial reporting, control and compliance environment including driving special projects and changesJob Description:\nMain Responsibilities\nAssist the Manager and Financial Controller in transitional activities for the US market in collaboration with CCoE Lead & Regional Finance Services team. \nSupport Financial Controller and Manager in monthly/Quarterly financial reporting and control activities by partnering with & supporting the Regional Financial Controller. \nDelivery of Month End closure (MEC) activities including P&L and Balance Sheet finalization. \nTimely closing of local accounting books & BPC group submission adhering to group requirements and timelines. \nSupport in the preparation and driving reconciliations and owning the actions from BS calls. Prepare Balance sheet presentations and risk analysis to develop & implement appropriate controls.\nSupport in Management of specialist finance activities including taxation, VAT, treasury, Insurance and risk management (including Hedging FX exposure) \nWorking with the Operational Finance and Commercial Finance teams to continuously improve financial processes and controls to comply with group policy and reporting requirements from time to time. \nPerformance management, training & continuous development of the team. \nSupporting the Manager and FC in external audit process e.g. gathering documentation for the organisation's procedures/other audit supporting materials \nSupport in Assessment of internal control environment with reference to Group’s Internal Control Framework. \nPerform testing to support the annual J-SOX controls effectiveness attestation. \nSupport in designing and executing required controls testing. Communicate results to internal stakeholders and external auditors. Perform required remediation testing. \nManagement of the annual controls self-certification process.\nManage ad hoc requirements and projects on financial control & compliance areas \nProfessional Skills\nQualified Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting, Consolidation, Financial reporting. \nProficient in technical accounting and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP would be preferable \nAdvanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. \nKnowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) and Blackline tool will be an added advantage. \nStrong communication skills (verbal & written).
