As a unified organisation, dentsu brings together deep expertise across media, creative and customer experience to deliver integrated solutions that drive meaningful progress for clients and society.\nOur data and technology team is responsible for building and maintaining industry leading solutions to support marketing, media buying, creative, and customer experience teams to create more meaningful impact.\nAs Software Engineer, you’ll join our Cloud and Platforms Engineering team on a new programme of work to build a portfolio of AI-driven marketing products that that will deliver value for our clients. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of software development processes, being able to take delivery ownership of a defined piece of work and own it from design through to production and ongoing operation. This includes any tests, monitoring and documentation that are needed for handover.\nMuch of what the team builds must work both on dentsu infrastructure and inside a client’s own cloud, so portability, security and cost are design considerations rather than afterthoughts. The engineer works within the architecture and standards set by senior engineers, sits alongside data engineers and data scientists, and is accountable for their work being correct, observable and operable.\nThis is a permanent role, working on a hybrid model in Melbourne or Sydney.\nCore responsibilities:\nDesign, build and maintain cloud native applications and services that support data, analytics and AI solutions. \nDevelop and deploy scalable software solutions using modern engineering practices, pipelines and cloud platforms. \nCollaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure solutions are reliable, observable and production ready. \nContribute to architecture discussions and help solve complex technical challenges across platforms, integrations and cloud environments. \nSupport the ongoing optimisation, monitoring and performance of software products from development through to deployment. \nA bit about you:\nExperience building end to end software products rather than solely supporting or maintaining existing systems. \nStrong software engineering fundamentals with experience in one or more modern programming languages and cloud platforms. \nExposure to cloud infrastructure, software systems, automation or platform engineering practices. \nCuriosity, adaptability and a desire to work across software engineering, cloud services, data and emerging AI technologies. \nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. \nWhat’s in it for you:\nReal flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive with our ‘Be the Best You’ policy which includes a $250 contribution to your home office set up \nThe opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change \n5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way \nCareer Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University \nBecome a champion for meaningful progress:\nOur diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so.
