This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements, maintaining robust internal controls and supporting the company’s financial objectives. The Accounting Manager plans, directs, and manages all aspects of day-to-day accounting, and banking for all legal entities.\nCore Competencies:\nAdaptability - Demonstrates the ability to adjust to new challenges, priorities, and requirements, while maintaining high performance and productivity. Maintains the ability to implement changes to processes based on evolving trends in accounts and/or the sports/entertainment industry.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nEssential Functions:Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements while ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.\nOversee general ledger and lead the month end close process including review and approval of all journal entries and completion of all account reconciliations across all entities.\nTrack, analyze and reconcile Fixed Assets including CIP.\nPrepare cash flow analysis monthly for executive reporting.\nAssist with interdepartmental transactions and reconciliations including settlement of ticket revenue between Stadium and Team entities.\nDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.\nProvide superior customer service and exceed internal and external customer expectations with service, communication, and urgency.\nSupervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.\n\nOther Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee the distribution, reconciliation, and safeguarding of petty cash in accordance with established policies and internal controls.\nComplete monthly compilation and submission of tax related returns including use tax and sales tax.\nAssist with NFL specific reporting and other ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.\nAssist with annual audits across financial, tax, business tax and agreed upon procedures and support auditors and external parties as necessary.\nSupport the system modernization process that will be undertaken to implement a new ERP system.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nPublic accounting experience, preferably Big 4.\nBachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and deliver results with minimal direction or supervision.\nProven leadership skills with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, standards and financial regulations.\nProficiency working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word & Power Point, etc.). \nPersonable, action-oriented, and professional.\nMaintain a growth and innovation mindset to find better ways to efficiently and effectively perform tasks.\nShowcases grit and resiliency in high pressure situations.\nStrive for excellence and have an open-minded, can-do attitude.\nHigh level of integrity and ethical standards by operating with transparency and candor.\nAccountable for owning all tasks and responsibilities expected within the role.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal.\nPreferred Skills & Ability: \nLicensed CPA designation.\nPrior sports experience.\nPrior experience working within an ERP system (especially NetSuite or Sage Intacct).\nIn accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary for this role is $110,000 - $125,000.
