You'll be part of the Business Technology Services group within our Digital Services branch.\nThis is a hands-on development role where you'll work alongside experienced developers to build systems, features, and proof-of-concept solutions while growing your skills and technical knowledge. You'll contribute to real projects, learn modern development practices, and gain exposure to Microsoft technologies including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, .NET, and Azure.\nWe're after people with a solid foundation in software development, a willingness to learn, and a passion for building quality solutions. Whether you're a recent graduate, early in your career, or looking to take the next step as an intermediate developer, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You Bring | Nōu te rourou\nExperience developing software through study, personal projects, internships, or employment.\nProgramming experience in C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.\nBasic web development fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs.\nAn interest in learning Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, .NET, and Azure.\nExposure to relational databases and version control systems such as Git.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nA tertiary qualification in Information Technology, and/or relevant study, training, or practical experience.\nDesirable but not essential:\nExperience with Power Platform or Dynamics 365.\nExposure to Azure or cloud-based solutions.\nExperience with testing practices, including unit or automated testing.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines.\nKnowledge of Agile ways of working.\nFor You | Mōu\nAt the Department of Internal Affairs, we are committed to offering a collaborative and innovative culture where your perspective and ideas will be welcomed.
