That starts with building a team that shares our purpose.\nDescription of Role\nWe’re looking for a mechanical engineer proficient in SolidWorks to support our team on a short-term, part-time contract. You’ll produce production-ready drawings and assemblies, applying sound GD&T practices.\nPart-time contract, approximately 25 hours total\nDuration: 2-3 months\nLocation Remote\nOpen to candidates anywhere in the US who work through their own LLC or business entity\nCandidates not working through an LLC must be based in Massachusetts\nResponsibilities\nCreate detailed 2D drawings from 3D SolidWorks models\nBuild and manage basic assemblies\nApply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to ensure manufacturability and clear design intent\nCollaborate with the team to review and revise designs as needed\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nProficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings)\nSolid working knowledge of GD&T\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience\nPortfolio of relevant work required with application\nNice to Have\nExperience with FEA (SolidWorks Simulation or similar) \nSolidworks surfacing \nOperating through your own LLC or business entity \nOther Information\nStart date: ASAP\nAt Dephy, our mission is to empower people to move through life with confidence.
