The Staff Accountant handles day-to-day finance and accounting operations-including journal entries, financial technology systems, and administrative functions-and ensures all financial analyses are reconciled and reported accurately and on time.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\n*The essential job functions and duties described below represent core responsibilities, but additional duties may be assigned as needed.*\n* Preparation of general ledgers in Microsoft Dynamics SL, including accounts payable coding in Altec DocLink and billing assistance.\n* Preparation of financial statements using FYISoft.\n* Preparation of monthly financial analyses and balance sheet account reconciliations.\n* Assist in the preparation of schedules and information required for tax return filings (including book and tax depreciation, if applicable).\n* Preparation of cash flow supporting schedules.\n* Assist in the preparation of various federal and state regulatory filings.\n* Assist in the preparation of subsidiary and consolidated annual financial statements with footnotes.\n* Ensure accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions are properly recorded.\n* Perform timely, accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.\n* Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition in accordance with GAAP.\n* Maintain compliance across all finance and accounting operations with GAAP and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.\n* Perform fiscal year-end close activities and support external auditors.\n* Participate in and lead cross-training initiatives as identified.\nOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS\n* Perform other regulatory reporting, projects, or accounting duties as assigned.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS\nLocation: Jackson, MS (In-Office)\n*Education & Experience:\n* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field combined with direct accounting experience.\n* Minimum of 1 to 2 years of general ledger accounting experience required.\n*Technical Skills:\n* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\n* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, FYISoft, or Altec DocLink is a plus.\n*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\n* Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.\n* High level of accuracy and precise attention to detail.\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nABOUT OUR CLIENT\nDEPLOY's client is an established, innovative communications leader with a vision of connecting customers to the world and strengthening the communities it serves.
