Your work will help reduce operational risk, improve system availability, automate manual processes, and strengthen the reliability of business-critical services.\nSupporting a portfolio of 40+ mission-critical applications, you will partner with globally distributed teams across Application Development, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Operations to deliver seamless production support, rapid incident resolution, and continuous service modernization.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nMonitor application and platform health, proactively identifying and resolving reliability risks.\nLead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) activities for critical production issues.\nDrive preventative actions and service improvements to reduce recurring incidents and improve system stability.\nAssess business impact and coordinate resolution efforts across technology and business teams.\nEnsure application availability, performance, and resiliency across production environments.\nExecute application recovery, failover, restart, and availability management procedures.\nSupport critical processing schedules and operational commitments.\nMaintain and update support runbooks, knowledge articles, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.\nEnsure documentation remains current and audit-ready.\nEstablish escalation paths and SME contact information. \nSupport application releases, vendor upgrades, and production deployments.\nValidate implementation readiness and ensure successful deployment outcomes.\nPartner with development teams to improve release quality and operational readiness.\nExecute Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures during planned tests and unplanned events.\nMaintain DR scripts and evidence required for BCM and audit compliance.\nParticipate in resilience and recovery exercises. \nIdentify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.\nEnhance monitoring, observability, alerting, and support tooling.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives using SRE and operational best practices.\nExecute and support disaster recovery (DR) testing, recovery procedures, and resilience exercises.\nMaintain recovery documentation, scripts, and audit evidence required for business continuity and regulatory compliance.\nPartner with Application Development, Infrastructure, Database, Cloud, Security, and Product teams to ensure service reliability.\nServe as a key stakeholder during major incidents, change events, and operational reviews.\nBuild strong relationships across global teams to drive operational excellence and service improvements.\nSupport audits, control testing, and evidence collection activities.\nEnsure operational processes align with security, risk, and compliance requirements.\nMaintain strong control practices that support DTCC's operational resilience objectives. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nJava/J2EE\nOracle, SQL, DB2\nIBM MQ, Kafka\nSplunk, Grafana, AutoSys\nServiceNow and ITIL processes\nLinux/Unix\nAWS or cloud-based environments\nStrong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including reliability, observability, automation, and incident prevention.\nExperience supporting distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.\nExperience with AWS or cloud-based environments.\nUnderstanding of messaging systems, middleware, networking, or integration platforms (IBM MQ, Kafka, IIB, or similar).\nExposure to containers and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.\nScripting or programming experience using Python or similar languages.\nKnowledge of financial services, securities processing, or capital markets environments.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.\nExposure to mainframe environments, including batch processing, job monitoring, and JCL.\nExperience supporting Kafka-based applications and event-driven architectures.\nExposure to AI-driven automation or operational efficiency initiatives in production support environments.\nUnderstanding of enterprise integration and distributed processing platforms.\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
