The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, database platforms, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, cloud-based data environments, and performance tuning. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and database systems.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. \nWrite and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. \nBuild and support ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as DBT, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO. \nDevelop and maintain data models, including relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas. \nManage and optimize databases on platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS. \nImplement data integration solutions using APIs, SFTP, and batch processing methods. \nEnsure data quality through validation, reconciliation, and data profiling activities. \nMonitor database and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance enhancements. \nImplement security controls including RBAC, database roles, and access management. \nMaintain version control using Git and GitHub. \nSupport Agile delivery processes, including participation in Scrum ceremonies and Jira-based project management.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 5 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.\nTalents Needed for Success:\nStrong experience with SQL and database development. \nHands-on experience with Snowflake and at least one major database platform (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Databricks). \nExperience designing data models and data warehouse solutions. \nKnowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques. \nExperience with AWS cloud services and data platforms. \nUnderstanding of database security, monitoring, and performance tuning. \nFamiliarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. \nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.\nGood communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
