You will be accountable for building resilient, secure, scalable, and cloud-ready network platforms across campus, data center, colocation, hybrid, and cloud environments.\nIn this role, you will drive a cloud-first, automation-led network strategy, improve operational reliability and recovery, and strengthen governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) maturity. You will lead and grow a high-performing team of network engineers while partnering closely with product, infrastructure, security, audit, and risk teams to ensure network services meet business, client, and regulatory expectations.\nThis role reports directly to Network Operations leadership.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nNetwork Architecture & Strategy\nDefine and lead the design and implementation of complex enterprise network architectures, including LAN, WAN, data center, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud environments\nDevelop and execute network strategies and multi-year roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry best practices\nEstablish enterprise standards for network design, client connectivity, resiliency, and security\nEvaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend solutions that improve performance, scalability, reliability, and security\nNetwork Operations, Reliability & Performance\nOwn enterprise-level network operations, ensuring availability, capacity, performance, and security across on-prem and cloud environments\nOversee the operation of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless infrastructure, and cloud networking services\nLead the response to complex network incidents, including root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions\nReduce operational risk by improving testing practices, recovery planning, and standardization of connectivity models\nMonitor network performance, utilization, and capacity; sponsor optimization initiatives such as traffic engineering and QoS\nCloud, Automation & Modernization\nLead execution of the cloud and hybrid network strategy, including hybrid connectivity, cloud networking patterns, and cost-optimization initiatives\nDrive adoption of network automation and Infrastructure as Code, leveraging tools such as Ansible, Python, and SDN technologies\nEnsure network provisioning, configuration management, and change execution are automated to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors\nEstablish cloud-specific operational models, including monitoring, incident management, and financial governance\nGovernance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)\nOwn network-related governance, risk, and compliance responsibilities\nStandardize network documentation, controls, and audit evidence\nTrack audit findings, remediation actions, and control effectiveness through structured governance forums\nPartner with security, risk, and audit teams to ensure ongoing regulatory readiness\nLeadership, Delivery & Vendor Management\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of network operations and engineering professionals, with planned growth as demand increases\nSet priorities, performance goals, and accountability across the organization\nLead network-related programs and initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes\nDefine project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure delivery on schedule and within constraints\nEvaluate network vendors, support contract negotiations, and manage strategic vendor relationships\nEnsure high-quality network documentation, diagrams, procedures, and knowledge sharing\nCommunicate network risks, initiatives, and incidents effectively to senior leadership, including executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint, Visio)\nQualifications\n10+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure leadership roles within large, global enterprises\nDemonstrated experience leading and developing technical teams\nBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience\nExperience supporting regulated or highly audited environments\nTalents Needed for Success\nDeep expertise in enterprise network architecture and operations\nExpert-level knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS\nVLAN, STP\nNetwork security protocols (IPsec, SSL/TLS)\n\nStrong experience with data center, hybrid, and cloud networking\nExtensive experience with enterprise network devices and vendors\nIn-depth understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control\nProven ability to lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational improvement programs\nStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills\nDemonstrated experience driving organizational process improvement and change\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience with Infoblox, Guardicore, or similar network/IPAM/security platforms\nPrior ownership of client connectivity platforms or services\nExperience building centralized network topology or observability repositories\nAdvanced network certifications (CCIE, JNCIE)\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
