The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Appian application development, integration design, process automation, and production support within Agile delivery environments.\nThe candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, QA teams, and support teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing business applications.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nApplication Development\nDesign, develop, configure, and deploy Appian applications leveraging Appian best practices.\nBuild and maintain:Process Models\nAppian Interfaces (SAIL)\nRecord Types\nReports and Dashboards\nBusiness Rules\nExpression Rules\nIntegrations\n\nDevelop reusable components and frameworks to accelerate application delivery.\nPerform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards. \nSolution Design & Architecture\nParticipate in solution design discussions and technical architecture reviews.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable Appian solutions.\nRecommend optimal approaches for workflow automation and process orchestration.\nIdentify opportunities to improve existing applications through automation and platform capabilities.\nIntegration & Data Management\nDesign and implement integrations with enterprise applications using:REST APIs\nDatabases (SQL Server, Maria DB)\n\nDevelop and optimize complex queries and data models.\nEnsure secure and reliable data exchange across systems.\nAgile Delivery\nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.\nProvide effort estimation and technical input during release planning.\nCollaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify requirements.\nSupport CI/CD and DevOps practices for Appian deployments.\nQuality & Governance\nEnsure applications meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.\nSupport unit testing, integration testing, and production validation activities.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.\nMaintain technical documentation and design artifacts.\nProduction Support\nAnalyze and resolve incidents and service requests.\nParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) activities.\nMonitor application health and proactively address operational risks.\nSupport release deployments and post-production validation. \nMentorship\nGuide and mentor junior developers\nShare Appian best practices and development standards across the team.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.\n6 to 8 years of software development experience.\nTalents Needed for Success:\n4+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.\nStrong understanding of BPM concepts and workflow automation.\nExperience developing applications on Appian 22.x, 23.x, or later versions.\nStrong experience with:SAIL\nProcess Modeling\nRecord Types\nExpression Rules\nIntegration Objects\nData Management\n\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nStrong SQL and database development skills.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAppian Certified Senior Developer (Preferred)\nAppian Certified Lead Developer (Good to Have)\nExperience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or regulated industries.\nExperience with on-prem/ cloud deployments and Appian Administration.\nKnowledge of CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
