This hands-on engineering role focuses on building scalable, high-performance, cloud-native solutions that power analytical and reporting capabilities for internal and external clients.\nYou will help advance DTCC's cloud modernization strategy by improving application scalability, resiliency, automation, and operational efficiency. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will partner with architects, product owners, and engineering leaders to deliver secure, reliable, and business-critical solutions.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices. \nBuild cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, OpenShift, containers, and modern deployment practices. \nDesign and implement event-driven solutions using Kafka and related messaging technologies. \nDevelop high-performance APIs and distributed systems with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and security. \nBuild and maintain automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications. \nChampion Test-Driven Development (TDD), shift-left testing, and automation-first engineering practices. \nIntegrate automated testing, quality controls, and release automation into CI/CD pipelines. \nOptimize application performance and database interactions across Oracle and Snowflake environments. \nParticipate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews. \nTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering excellence, modernization, and platform resiliency.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience\n6-9 years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.\nTalent Needed for Success\nStrong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architectures. \nHands-on experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS. \nExperience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment architectures. \nStrong experience with Snowflake or large-scale data warehouse platforms, including database-driven application development. \nExperience with Oracle, SQL development, data modeling, and query optimization. \nExperience with Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, or event-driven architectures. \nStrong understanding of distributed systems, messaging patterns, and asynchronous processing. \nExperience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks. \nHands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, REST Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar testing frameworks. \nExperience integrating automated testing and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines. \nExperience building applications using ReactJS, micro frontends, and single-page application architectures. \nStrong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills. \nExperience working in Agile delivery environments. \nPassion for modern engineering practices, continuous improvement, and technology innovation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Angular and migrations from Angular to ReactJS. \nExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, and build automation practices. \nHands-on experience with Jenkins, CloudBees, Git, SonarQube, Maven, and related development tools. \nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise systems and cloud modernization initiatives. \nExperience with performance, load, resiliency, and API testing. \nJava, AWS, or Quality Engineering certifications. \nExperience within Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other highly regulated industries.\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
