May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDevelop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements\nConstruct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements\nFollow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions\nCreate and maintain system documentation\nAlign risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nContribute to the design of components or individual programs\nProvide production support for applications as needed\nWork with subject matter experts reviewing technical designs and specifications\nApply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs\nWork with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery\nAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\n**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nProficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.\nExperience developing and supporting Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.\nUnderstanding of Apache Kafka for event-driven and asynchronous processing.\nKnowledge of Oracle Database including SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling.\nFamiliarity with Redis for caching, performance optimization, and distributed data storage.\nExperience using Git and version control best practices.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.\nExposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar platforms.\nUnderstanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.\nTechnical Stack experience preferred - Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Kafka, Oracle, Redis, Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps.\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
