Day-to-day, thatmeans defining architecture, building scalable solutions on AWS, and shipping full-stack web applications,while simultaneously keeping systems healthy by paying down technical debt, implementing monitoring, and planning upgrades.Roughly halfthe role is hands-on architecture and project delivery; the other half is split between cross-functional collaboration, system maintenance, and knowledge sharing.\nThis is not a heads-down coding role. The engineer will partner with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide guidance onwhat'sfeasible.They'llcollaborate with other technical teams across the organization, coordinating integrationeffortsand designing APIs for system interoperability. Clear communication is essential, asthey'llneed to make complex technical concepts accessible to non-technical team members andfacilitatedecision-making across groups.They'llalso engage with project stakeholders through regular status updates, timeline estimations, and early risk identification.\nA successful candidatemust haveat least five years of development work with demonstrated technical leadership.They'llbringproficiencyin JavaScript frameworks likeTanStackStart or Svelte, PostgreSQL or MySQL, AWS services such as Bedrock, Lambda, andEventBridge, and search engines like OpenSearch. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytically sharp, and has the communication skills to balance feature development, technical debt, and cross-team collaboration.\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:\n25% Technical Architecture & Ownership: Lead technical ownership of a core business area, including:\n\nDefine and implement architecture decisions for that area\n\nEstablish and enforce code quality standards and best practices\n\nDesign scalable solutions using web frameworks, AWS services, and database technologies\n\nEvaluate and recommendnew technologiesand approaches to improve system performance and maintainability\n\n25% Project Planning & Execution: Drive project planning and delivery for area specific initiatives:\n\nCreateaccuratetimeline estimations for technical initiatives\n\nBreak down complex projects into manageable pieces\n\nTrack project progress and communicate status to stakeholders\n\nIdentifyand mitigate technical risks early in the development process\n\n20% Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization:\n\nCollaborate closely with other teams to translate business requirements into technical
