Reporting to the VP of Software, you’ll contribute to research and development, customer projects, and the software product roadmap. \nYou’ll bring hands-on technical expertise, lead design and development activities, and mentor developers and Software Delivery team members. You’ll work across an event-driven microservices architecture using modern open-source technologies for backend services, integrations, artificial intelligence, and user interfaces. This role includes approximately 15% travel to support commissioning at customer sites. \nWe’ll count on your reliability, creativity, and commitment to learning to solve complex problems and follow through. Your service-minded approach will help strengthen our team and deliver successful outcomes for our customers. \nWhat You’ll Be Doing \nPartner with the VP of Software to help develop and execute software product strategies and the product roadmap. \nDesign, develop, and improve DATUM to support customer needs and continued product growth. \nProvide full stack design and development across an event-driven microservices architecture. \nUse modern open-source frameworks to build backend services, integrations, AI capabilities, and user interfaces. \nLead design and development activities for customer projects and research and development initiatives using Agile development and testing practices. \nMentor entry-level and mid-level developers and Software Delivery team members. \nSupport the Software Delivery team with integrated system commissioning at customer sites, with approximately 15% travel. \nContribute across development, implementation, support, and IT activities as team and project needs require. \nEvaluate organizational performance data to identify improvement opportunities and help adapt team practices. \nSupport technical innovation and continuous learning by staying current on relevant technologies and industry developments. \nRepresent DCS and the Software team with professionalism, ethics, and integrity. \nWe’re Excited About You Because... \nYou have five or more years of experience in industrial software development. \nYou have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. \nYou have experience with open-source software frameworks and related development tools. \nYou’re comfortable using the Linux command line and working with operating system services and configurations. \nYou’re proficient with modern integrated development environments, Git for source control, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps. \nYou’re willing and able to travel approximately 15% to support customer commissioning. \nYou enjoy sharing your expertise, mentoring others, and helping grow the DCS Software team. \nYou communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with customers, management, and teams across disciplines. \nYou take ownership of your work and deliver results with minimal supervision, including in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. \nYou approach complex problems creatively and can manage multiple tasks and projects. \nYou strengthen our culture by being reliable, learning oriented, bold, easy to work with, and a problem solver. \nAbout Us:\nConveyor may be in our name, but it’s only part of what we do.
