Team Leader, Maison Alphonse-Desjardins museum

As Team Leader, Maison Alphonse-Desjardins museum, you coordinate the museum’s day-to-day operations and ensure the delivery of an exceptional visitor experience. You are instrumental in managing the guide team, organizing cultural and educational programs and ensuring the seamless execution of museum events. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Lead, engage and support the guides team
• Plan schedules, assign tasks and monitor daily activities
• Ensure a high-quality visitor experience and excellent customer service
• Coordinate guided tours, activities and special events
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, manage unexpected situations and maintain quality standards
• Contribute to the planning, development and ongoing improvement of the museum’s activities and services
• Serve as a key point of contact for visitors, partners and team members

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Experience in managing teams
• Experience working in the cultural, museum or event management sectors
• Knowledge of French is required and excellent communication and customer service skills
• Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
• Available for occasional local travel
• Available to work on-site 4 days per week and 5 days per week during the summer period (mid-June to early September)
• Available to work occasionally in the evenings or on weekends for special events
• Available to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
