This role has the responsibility and authority to help us produce component pieces which we put together to produce quality industrial shock absorbers by performing the following duties.\nAce Controls is a great place to work! We are conveniently located in Farmington Hills close to several major expressways. Our facility is climate controlled and safety is a top priority. We are looking for long-term employees and offer hands-on training. We have an open position on our 1st shift which runs from 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday. There are opportunities for overtime on Fridays as needed.\nSummary: Sets up and changes over as well as operates various machines including the following: single and multi-spindle drill presses, punch press, mills, lathes, thread tappers, broach reaming, cut-off machines, bending and straightening presses. Sets up, changes over and runs complicated jigs on close tolerance operations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nReads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.\nSets up and makes necessary adjustments to equipment\nPrograms CNC machines\nObserves machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.\nPerforms deburring operations on machined parts.\nRecords quality control/assurances information.\nReads complex inspection equipment and determines the appropriate go/no go gages, ring gages, height gages, plug gages, micrometers, veneer gages.\nResponsible for quality levels of operations performed.\nPerforms complete preventative maintenance of machines.\nProvides support to new employees and B operators regarding machining techniques\nResponsible for the proper documentation production records and other documentation.\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor. \nRequirements:\nThree years minimum relevant experience \nAbility to read and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. \nAbility to understand and work with G&M codes \nAbility to perform complex mathematical processes and analyze results to execute corrective action.\nAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nAnalytical skills to determine when a machine goes out of calibration.\nPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
