This position requires the ability to plan, develop and implement a Quality Assurance program including, but not limited to testing procedures, quality standards, methods and workmanship.\nPerforms product testing and analysis utilizingspecialized test equipment. \nFollow Testing procedures known as SN’s (StabilusNorms) for all required tests.\nPerforms calibration and gage repair, utilizingspecial software for recording and planning the calibration intervals for all equipment\nInteracts directly with the customer during customer visits at times. \nMaintains departmental records of lab test equipment. \nResponsible for repair and maintenance of lab equipment. \nOversees scheduling of tests required for PPAP and series testing.\nEssential Job Functions:\nPerforms product testing utilizingspecialized equipment through interpretation of technical documents or verbal instruction.\nPerforms detailed product failure analysis.\nPerforms statistical analysis for department, to include capability studies, gage R&R, and report generation. Responsible for maintainingall test equipment by either minor repairs or outside test equipment supplier.\nMaintains departmental records, including electronic databases.\nMaintains professionalism (especially when dealing with customers).\nProvide assistance toproduction areas in field of expertiseto train or assistin problem solving.\nQualified to train in all required test equipment and measurement equipment.\nSecondary Job Functions:\nLimited travel to customer sites, domestic and international, as a point of contact for discussion on product failure and to establishsortactivity.\nPerforms gage/test equipment calibration, when needed.\nEducation, Training, Certifications\nMinimum of 5 years Industrial Lab experience either at Stabilus or related industry.\nExperience\nMust have thorough knowledge of Stabilus product and standard quality control practices. Must have fundamental SPC understanding. Must know proper usage and care of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. Must be able to read and interpret technical documents. Must have practical mechanical knowledge of all lab test equipment.\nJob Knowledge and Skills\nSoftware Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Programs.\nInterpersonal skills: \nMust be able to lead others as needed: \n1. Training coworkers on departmental procedures and work instructions.\n2. Training Quality Auditors on emergency calibrations.\n3. Supervising temporary personnel on departmental functions as required.\nContact with Others: Mustbe able to communicate and work with all levels of management.\nResourcefulness and Initiative: Followsestablished guidelines for product testing and calibration.
