Join us!\nWe are looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead our team at Pet Palace Columbus Airport\nREPORTS TO: General Manager\nPERKS: Full-Time Health Benefits, 401K and Discounted Pet Insurance\nPAY: $47,000 - $50,000 Salary\nAccess your earned wages anytime with DailyPay.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):\nSupports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet.\nEnsures the delivery of exceptional customer service and salesmanship.\nCollaborates with the Destination Pet Support Staff on a regular basis (Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities, Legal, etc.).\nEnsure the cohesiveness of all aspects of pet care services and cross training where necessary.\nManages center staff at the direction of the General Manager- motivate, recruit, hires, trains, promotes, coach/counsel, terminates when necessary.\nAssists with facility compliance with federal and local labor laws: OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices.\nSchedules staff for work assignments, allowing staff to provide outstanding service while maintaining your payroll budget.\nMonitors and responds to the needs of pet guests to ensure their safety, security, and comfort.\nProvides customer service and salesmanship.\nResolves customer complaints.\nMaintains appropriate inventory of supplies; reorders and restocks as necessary.\nShops for miscellaneous supplies as needed.\nManages the computer system.\nIn the absence of the General Manager addresses all center maintenance needs to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for pet guests and associates. \nAssists General Manager with monitoring financial reports and statistics. \nIn the absence of the General Manager, ensures that bank deposits are made when needed.\nPromotes and markets Destination Pet’s programs and services in the surrounding community. \nEnsures that client communication occurs. \nEnsures exceptional customer service, through personal contact with customers, associate training, resolution of customer complaints, and delivery of services.\nServe as the manager onsite when General Manager is not available.\nEnsures that bank deposits are completed as needed.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nExpertise & Experience:\nAssociate or BS/BA is a plus.\nMust be a passionate team player and a strong motivator.\nMinimum of 1 year management experience preferably in hospitality, service and / or retail environments.\nExperience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public.\nProficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.\nAbility to multi-task with strong time management skills.\nAbility to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines.\nExcellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.\nMust have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills.\nVeterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience is a plus.\nPhysical:\nMust be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.\nMust frequently lift 40 pounds.\nMust be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift. \nMust be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.\nMust be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone.\nMust be able to handle dogs on leashes.\nMust be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.\nDuties as assigned\nPERKS:\nHealth, vision, dental, long & short-term disability, and Life insurance\nA Startup mentality company with stable funding.\n401k match\nPet Care discounts\nGenerous PTO\nOpportunity to grow your career with a network of like-minded professionals\nDestination Pet LLC affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
