Field Operators will work in teams of two to ensure effective data collection and safety in the field. Extensive travel across Nova Scotia is required. Accommodations, a vehicle, and all required equipment are provided. This role is crucial in collecting high-quality visual data of distribution poles across Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in the field, passionate about technology, and eager to be part of a fast-growing team dedicated to innovation in utility inspection.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nExecute consistent data collection across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards and protocols.\nConduct site assessments and ensure safe operations in all field environments.\nMaintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as needed.\nFollow all safety guidelines and field procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards.\nOperate drone equipment to capture high-resolution imagery of utility poles and related infrastructure.\nCommunicate effectively with the operations team to provide updates, report issues, and manage daily tasks.\nOperate a company-provided vehicle equipped with camera systems to collect street-level imagery.\nAdhere to assigned routes and schedules to ensure comprehensive data collection.\nPerform routine maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal functionality.\nUpload collected data to the central database promptly.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nValid driver's license with a clean record is required.\nExperience working in the field or in roles involving significant outdoor activities.\nFamiliarity with drones or a willingness to learn. \nDrone pilot certification is a plus but not required; training will be provided.\nComfortable working in a team of two and in diverse weather conditions.\nAttention to detail and a focus on producing consistent, high-quality results.\nStrong communication skills for customer interactions\nComfortable with technology and able to operate specialized equipment.\nAbility to perform extensive walking over various terrains for extended periods.\nWHAT WE OFFER?\nOpportunity to work on the cutting edge of preventative infrastructure maintenance technology.\nHands-on training and development to grow your skills in data collection, drone operations, and more.\nBe part of a supportive team that values innovation, clear communication, and resilience.\nCompetitive pay, with performance bonuses available, and the opportunity to work outdoors across beautiful Nova Scotia.\nJoin Us!\nIf you’re looking to make a real-world impact and grow with a company that values innovation, purpose, and people - we’d love to hear from you.
