IB – Client Enablement Oversight - Associate

FIC Client Enablement is a function sitting within the broader FIC COO Group and plays a key role in driving the strategic revenue and growth initiatives of the Institutional Client Group. Specifically it aims to deliver:

- a seamless and competitive client experience when getting counterparties ‘good to trade’ and then dealing with Deutsche Bank; and

- innovative client relationship management tooling that facilitates effective and profitable client coverage with considered allocation of resource

You’ll perform a client-facing role covering a number of the Institutional Client Group’s - (ICG’s) - highest priority clients. You’ll be responsible for managing their funds onboarding pipeline with them proactively; organising and coordinating functional inputs to the internal process - (across Front Office, Credit, Legal, Onboarding Case Management etc) and face off directly to the key relationship managers in ICG.

This will be a key area of strategic development in the short to medium term as ICG looks to establish a competitive edge that can drive deepened client relationships and revenue growth. You’ll be responsible for setting up structured reporting and tracking from which ICG can monitor it’s functional performance with key clients with a view to tracking and effecting client experience trends.

Specific focus will be on assisting close a significant backfill of FX accounts to assist in meeting their revenue targets for 2028.

Your key responsibilities

Client Enablement & Onboarding Execution

• Back up coverage of key ICG clients making sure that their funds onboarding and related needs are met efficiently;
• Drive end-to-end onboarding and account activation processes, coordinating activities across Front Office, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, KYC, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure timely client readiness and achievement of target launch dates.
• Supporting the FX desk in meeting both its new client growth objectives and plugging the gaps with existing clients

Process Improvement & Change Execution

• Help improve and drive change for the end-to-end FX onboarding process
• Analyse onboarding data and client feedback to identify trends, recommend process improvements, that enhance efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Prepare presentations, briefing materials, and updates for senior management, translating complex operational issues into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Produce and maintain detailed pipeline reporting, management information, and performance metrics, providing transparency on onboarding progress, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for acceleration.
• Close partnership with all functions impacting the funds onboarding processes ensuring key resources are made available as required and all working shared and well articulated priorities
• Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Legal, Credit, KYC & Operations in APAC.

Your skills and experience

• 2- 4 years of relevant work experience in the Banking/Finance/ Consulting industry
• Experience preparing senior management reporting, presentations, dashboards or performance metrics for senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of capital markets, institutional clients, client onboarding or investment banking products and experience in client facing roles
• Experience operating in a dynamic environment requiring the ability to quickly learn new subject matter, adapt to changing priorities, and support multiple concurrent workstreams while meeting deadlines.
• Proven experience engaging with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and external clients across APAC, including senior management, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and build effective working relationships
• Proven ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, assess impacts and support the development of practical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative, ownership and accountability for assigned deliverables.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
