The team strives for robust risk governance under applicable regulatory regimes, including risk monitoring and escalation, risk analysis and entity risk management, product’s risk profile as well as drafting & reviewing related policies and procedures.\nRole Details\nAs a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:\nExecution lead on DWS FE Taiwan risk strategy (official Risk Manager) covering all relevant types of risk like e.g. Investment, Non-Financial, Financial and Sustainability Risk by establishing / maintaining a robust risk management framework for DWS FE Taiwan across risk types and businesses\nEnsure that Risk Management Policies and Processes of DWS FE Taiwan are aligned with respect to the regulatory, control environment and DWS risk framework and policies\nManagement of projects in line with DWS Risk’s functional requirements in close collaboration with other functions - both, within the Risk Department as well as other functions such as Investment Division, Compliance and Product Management\nSupport & lead the development of governance, related systems and tools, operationalize risk limitation, measurement, monitoring and escalation processes for new products & businesses\nSupport decision-making and approval processes around risk’s taken on behalf of DWS FE and on behalf of client portfolios\nContribute the development and maintenance of other risk type-specific governance frameworks considering client-specific and regulatory requirements\nAssessments of investment targets on their profile with respect to credit quality, adherence to ESG standards as well as the impact of physical climate change and climate transition to their business model\nValuation Risk - maintain a consistent, robust, and reliable asset valuation governance process including regular reporting\nAssist APAC CRO with regional risk monitoring activities, including the consolidation and analysis of key risk indicators, preparation of management reporting, identification of emerging risk trends, and coordination of follow-up actions with relevant local and regional stakeholders\nWe are looking for \nUniversity degree, preferably with a focus on Statistics / Finance / Engineering, or similar\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience out of which two years or more of securities, futures, or asset management related work experience at a well-established institution\nQualified as associated person of securities investment trust and consulting enterprises / senior securities specialist / securities investment analyst in accordance with the Regulations Governing Responsible Persons and Associated Persons of Securities Investment Consulting Enterprises\nRelevant certifications like CFA or FRM are considered a plus\nStrong knowledge of financial instruments, related risk factors and analytics and ability to identify sources of risk\nHands on experience with local regulatory frameworks applicable to mutual funds & asset management companies\nStrong interpersonal skills as the role requires constant interaction with other individuals across the business (portfolio managers, business management, compliance) and externally (clients, regulators)\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges\nExcellent communication of English & Chinese language (reading, writing and speaking) required\nProven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs\nWhat we’ll offer you:\n At DWS we’re serious about diversity, equity and creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can be themselves and it’s important to us that you enjoy coming to work - feeling healthy, happy and rewarded.
