Your long-term initiatives will focus on leading the improvement of our infrastructure architecture and automation systems with aim of improving product operability, security, compliance and reliability.\nAs a Senior DevOps Engineer and core product team member, you will design, automate and enhance process and procedures within this field of responsibility using state-of-the-art instrumentation thereby ensuring stable and consistent production environments. You will be champion and introduce new methods for operations demonstrating new technological advancements and their benefits to our products. You will be a key operations stakeholder, representing the needs of your product’s operability, sustainability, and performance to senior management and external stakeholders.\nIn our product team, we strive to keep up a mentality of continuous improvement with technology-driven people that see themselves as a key part of the decision-making process - reshaping and improving the future of our products.\nYour responsibilities:\nTechnical leadership and full stack responsibility of deployment infrastructure and applications (automate, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot).\nCurrent technology stack: On-premises setup with VMware VMs, RedHat 8/9, DevOps Toolchain: Ansible | Jenkins | HashiCorp Vault, self-developed Java/Kotlin applications, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL | Patroni | etcd, Apache, HAProxy\nOperational duties include 24/7 production support shift duty and on-call shifts distributed among the team (an average of two one-week shifts and two one-week on-call duties per month will be expected).\nMonitor infrastructure and applications metrics via monitoring/observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch) to ensure performance/capacity management, etc. maintain and extend implementation of metrics-based monitoring systems.\nDeployment and support of internally developed applications as well as third party software from test stage up to production environment, ensuring seamless CI/CD pipelines.\nSystems administration of application hosts: upgrading, patching, and tuning, capacity and performance management.\nFacilitate & contribute to evaluation and development of initiatives in the DevOps area, including various automation and containerization.\nCounterpart for development in architectural design and advice.\nMentor and coach for team members to foster technical growth, knowledge sharing and a positive team culture.\nYour profile:\nUniversity degree in Information Technology or equivalent OR\n6+ years prior experience in technical operations of highly critical, 24/7 financial or enterprise environments\nWillingness to work with a classical on-prem stack, coupled with a proven track record of successfully migrating legacy systems towards containerization (considering regulatory and high-availability constraints)\nAdvanced expertise in RedHat Enterprise Linux (installation, system monitoring and maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting, etc.)\nDeep experience with automation, software deployment, orchestration technologies and continuous integration & delivery (most relevant being Ansible, Jenkins, etcd, Git, GitHub)\nStrong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to take responsibility, manage incidents, and deliver results autonomously under time pressure\nTeam player who actively drives knowledge sharing and task delegation, and collaboration with the team and other peers. Openly communicate and synchronize with the team, share experience, listen and discuss critically but respectfully and productively\nProficiency in written and spoken English. \nWould be an advantage:\nDeep technical expertise and hands-on administration of one or more of the following areas: Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Prometheus\nStrong network knowledge: Topologies, LoadBalancer, firewalls, switches, xinetd Proxies, troubleshooting e.g. telnet, ss, Wireshark\nStrong architectural understanding of infrastructures and application design (e.g., high-availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance, serverless, microservices).\nExperience with strict enterprise security requirements (certificates, TLS encryption, central identity management)\nPractical experience implementing and championing DevOps, SRE, or Agile working models within a team.\nExperience with one or more of the following languages: Java/Kotlin/Python/Go.\nYou can look forward to our benefit package:\nHybrid Work and Flexible working hours \nWork from abroad -
