develop, and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines across different data platforms \nDevelop and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using Python, SQL, and distributed processing technologies \nIntegrate data from various source systems, including databases, APIs, Kafka, SFTP, and file-based sources \nBuild and maintain reusable components and frameworks for data pipeline development \nImplement automated testing, data quality checks, and monitoring for data pipelines \nTroubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize data processing performance \nCollaborate with local Data Engineering teams, data scientists, and subject-matter experts across multiple countries \nYou are the ideal candidate, if you have:\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role \nStrong Python programming skills and advanced SQL knowledge \nHands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark) or similar distributed data processing frameworks \nExperience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines \nExperience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow) \nGood understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and common data storage formats \nExperience integrating data from different sources, including relational databases, APIs, and file-based systems \nExperience with Git and version control practices \nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams \nFluent English, both written and spoken \nIt’s an advantage if you have:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field \nExperience with data lake and lakehouse technologies (e.g. Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Hive, S3) \nKnowledge of distributed SQL query engines (e.g. Trino) and analytical databases (e.g. ClickHouse) \nStrong understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management and data quality frameworks \nExperience with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred) \nKnowledge of streaming and data ingestion technologies (e.g. Kafka, Apache NiFi, Flink) \nFamiliar with Data Mesh and Data Product concepts \nExperience in international or multi-country
