Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI-powered applications, and chatbot development. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java backend development while actively building scalable AI-driven products using modern LLM technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build AI-powered applications including LLM-based chatbots, conversational AI, and intelligent search solutions.
• Develop and optimise RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval.
• Integrate with leading LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or open-source LLMs.
• Work with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, or pgvector.
• Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product, AI/ML, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
• Ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and code quality through testing and code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture and technical decisions.
• Stay updated with the latest AI, GenAI, and LLM advancements.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in Java Backend Development.
• Strong expertise in: Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience in LLM, RAG, Chatbots, or AI-powered application development.
• Experience with Prompt Engineering and LLM API integrations.
• Strong understanding of Vector Databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.
• Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, and distributed system design.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

• Python for AI integrations.
• LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with open-source LLMs and model fine-tuning.
• Experience building enterprise AI assistants or chatbot platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
