The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping our data landscape across multiple value streams. The role requires deep expertise in data integration, data modelling, and analytical engineering. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to design and govern data architectures that power key business capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Architecture & Modelling\nDesign and maintain enterprise-wide data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical layers\nLead data architecture for core platforms and support cross-value-stream data requirements\nDefine data standards, naming conventions, and modelling best practices\nEvaluate and recommend appropriate data storage patterns (relational, dimensional, lakehouse, graph)\nData Integration\nArchitect and oversee data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across source systems\nDesign integration patterns for batch, near-real-time, and streaming data flows\nEnsure robust data lineage, traceability, and auditability across all pipelines\nCollaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable, resilient integration solutions\nAnalytics Enablement\nDevelop semantic and analytical data models that serve BI, reporting, and advanced analytics use cases\nPartner with analytics and data science teams to define trusted data products\nChampion a self-service data culture by enabling reusable, well-documented data assets\nGovernance & Quality\nDefine and enforce data quality rules, validation frameworks, and remediation processes\nContribute to data governance policies, data cataloguing, and metadata management\nWork with stakeholders to manage data contracts and SLAs\nStakeholder Collaboration\nAct as a trusted data advisor across multiple value streams and business units\nFacilitate technical workshops and design reviews with engineering and product stakeholders\nCommunicate complex data architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences\n Required Skills & Experience\nEssential\n5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a closely related role\nStrong proficiency in data modelling techniques: relational, dimensional (Kimball/Inmon), and Data Vault\nHands-on experience with data integration tools and frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka, dbt, Spark, Talend, or similar)\nSolid understanding of cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stack components\nAdvanced SQL skills and familiarity with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks\nProven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions\nPreferred\nPrior exposure to event-driven architectures or real-time data platforms\nExperience working in agile, value-stream-aligned product organisations\nFamiliarity with data mesh principles and decentralised data ownership models\nKnowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management tools (e.g. Collibra, Alation, DataHub)\nExperience with analytical tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase\nWhat We're Looking For\nThe ideal candidate brings both technical depth and cross-functional communication skills.
