MDO stands for Multi-Domain Orchestrator - the platform that orchestrates networks across various domains.\nWe are looking for a senior Network Automation Architect to join the MDO team and help shape the architecture of our network automation capabilities. The role combines architectural responsibility with hands-on engineering and is well suited to a Senior Network Automation Engineer who wants to broaden their architecture scope. You will contribute to automation and integration patterns, technical decisions and design reviews, while also implementing solutions together with our international teams.\nResponsibilities\nHelp shape and evolve the architecture of MDO network automation capabilities, including reusable automation patterns, interfaces and technical guidelines.\nDesign, develop and maintain network automation components and scripts for multi-domain orchestration of network elements, services and network functions.\nTranslate business, service and network requirements into practical, reusable automation designs together with domain experts, customers, Product Owners and engineering teams.\nContribute to architecture and design reviews and support consistency, lifecycle management and versioning across automation components and interfaces.\nStay hands-on by implementing and reviewing network automation components and scripts in Python and Java.\nImplement service workflows and integrations using technologies such as YANG, YAML, JSON and RESTful APIs; TOSCA or BPMN may be used where applicable.\nSupport engineering quality and technical alignment across distributed teams using Git, CI/CD, testing, DevOps and Agile ways of working.\nQualifications\nArchitecture & Design\nStrong experience in designing and developing network automation or orchestration solutions, with an interest in taking architectural responsibility.\nExperience with complex automation logic, service/resource definitions and reusable integration and interface patterns.\nAbility to turn complex telecommunications and automation requirements into clear technical designs and implementation guidance.\nGood problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic working style.\nEngineering & Automation\nStrong object-oriented software engineering skills in Python or Java, plus working knowledge of or willingness to work with the other language.\nExperience with technologies and data description formats/languages such as YANG, YAML and JSON.\nExperience with RESTful APIs and common software engineering practices such as Git, CI/CD, automated testing and code reviews.\nNetworking & Telecommunications\nGood understanding of networking concepts and technologies such as WAN, LAN, routing and modern transport networks.\nExperience with network automation, orchestration or service automation in a telecommunications environment.\nGeneral understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and service/resource lifecycle concepts.\nCollaboration & Communication\nExperience working in distributed international cross-functional teams and with different technical and business stakeholders.\nFamiliarity with Agile ways of working such as Scrum or SAFe and a DevOps mindset.\nEnglish spoken and written at least at Level B2.\nNice to have\nExperience with TM Forum SID and/or TM Forum Open APIs.\nKnowledge of SDN, cloud networking architectures or 5G slicing.\nExperience with TOSCA, BPMN and/or workflow engines such as Camunda.\nKnowledge of telco operational processes such as fulfilment, assurance, OSR or ITIL.\nExperience with application/container concepts, software packaging and configuration management.\nGerman language
