This individual will be responsible for validating enterprise business applications, executing manual and automated testing, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring software quality throughout the Agile development lifecycle. \nThis position supports the modernization of mission-critical systems used nationwide to manage interpreter scheduling, assignment, tracking, reporting, and invoicing operations. The tester will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Government stakeholders to ensure all functionality meets business, operational, security, and usability requirements. The solution leverages Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Government, and modern DevSecOps practices. \nResponsibilities \nTesting & Quality Assurance \nDevelop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data. \nPerform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing. \nValidate real-world business workflows, business rules, and system functionality against documented requirements and user stories using technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. \nSupport testing of interpreter scheduling, assignment, reassignment, reporting, invoicing, and workflow automation capabilities. \nModify test plans and test cases as needed to resolve defects or substandard results. \nConduct re-testing as needed to resolve defects or substandard results. \nExecute end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems and interfaces. \nDocument, track, and verify defects through resolution. \nAgile Development Support \nParticipate in Sprint Planning, backlog refinement sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. \nCollaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. \nReview requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure testabilityand meet the “definition of done”. \nAssist with release readiness and deployment validation activities. \nUAT & Production Readiness \nSupport and facilitate UAT activities with business stakeholders and government users. \nPrepare test scenarios and test data that reflect real-world operational workflows. \nSupport production deployment validation and post-release smoke testing. \nVerify application readiness prior to production releases along with post-release smoke testing. \nCompliance & Documentation \nMaintain testing documentation and traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases. \nSupport Section 508 accessibility validation. \nAssist with audit, security, and operational readiness activities. \nEnsure testing artifacts comply with client and project quality standards. \nRequired Qualifications \nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. \nMinimum 3 years of software testing or quality assurance experience supporting enterprise applications. \nExperience developing and executing: \nFunctional test cases \nIntegration tests \nRegression tests \nUser Acceptance Testing (UAT) \nExperience with Agile software development environments. \nExperience using defect and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar products. \nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively with developers, business stakeholders, and government customers. \nAbility to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and rapidly adapt to product needs. \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience supporting DOJ, DHS, EOIR, ICE, USCIS, CBP, or other federal civilian agencies. \nExperience testing Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. \nExperience testing Canvas and/or Model-Driven Power Apps. \nExperience validating Power Automate workflows, Dataverse security roles, business rules, integrations, and application permissions. \nExperience with automated testing tools such as Selenium. \nExperience with API testing tools including Postman or Swagger. \nExperience supporting cloud-based applications hosted in Azure or AWS. \nExperience validating role-based access controls and security requirements. \nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices. \nUnderstanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements. \nDesired Technical Skills \nMicrosoft Power Platform (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) \nAzure DevOps or Jira \nAutomated UI testing tools (e.g. Selenium) \nPostman / REST APIs \nSQL \nMicrosoft Azure / Azure Government \nMicrosoft 365 / SharePoint Online \nTest and defect management tools \nWhat Makes Someone Successful in This Role \nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on tester who can independently execute tests, identify issues early, communicate effectively with developers and stakeholders, and thrive in an Agile federal environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, curiosity about how applications behave beyond the happy path, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work closely with developers and business users to deliver reliable, usable, secure, and accessible Power Platform solutions in a fast-moving federal Agile environment. \nOur estimated salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000, this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
