In this role, you’ll work alongside a team of talented professionals, preparing high-quality baked goods and desserts that reflect our commitment to culinary artistry. With opportunities to rotate through Heck's Tavern, Ranch House Restaurant, Volario's, Café, and our Banquets team, this position provides a dynamic and diverse environment to grow your skills and career.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare, inventory, and maintain assigned pastry stations or projects under the direction of the Pastry Chef.\nEnsure all menu items are prepared to recipe specifications and presented beautifully.\nPerform mise en place duties, including setup, prep, and thorough cleaning of assigned stations.\nMaintain knowledge of proper food storage, handling practices, and health codes.\nFollow safety procedures and ensure food is properly dated and labeled.\nExecute opening and closing duties efficiently, supporting the overall success of the kitchen.\nExhibit strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.\nCollaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and resort-wide goals.\nContribute to the Ranch mission by maintaining quality standards and guest satisfaction.\nOther duties assigned by Pastry Chef and/or Sous Chef.\nRequirements\nRequirements\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required; pastry degree preferred.\nMinimum of one year of professional kitchen experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort setting.\nStrong communication skills and a commitment to quality.\nDemonstrated ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.\nKnowledge of food safety practices and health codes.\nPositive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.\nPhysically able to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and navigate a large property, including stairs.\nBenefits and Perks:\n152 hours of Paid Time Off if FT, Year-Round employment status.\nAffordable furnished housing, if working a minimum of 35 hours/week or more.\nHealth, Dental & Life & Vision Insurances, plus 401k Employer Match of up to $2,000 annually--if FT, Year-Round employment status.\nWellness Program opportunities including meditation, complimentary daily Yoga, trail running & mountain-biking workshops.\n25% discounts at all Devil's Thumb Ranch restaurants, activities including Trail Rides, and Spa Treatments.\nDiscounted Winter Park Ski Resort season pass (available annually in season) or 1/2 price Grand Park Rec Center Pass.\nReferral bonus of $250 if we hire someone you refer. \nDue to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule.
