Devine MIllimet is a full-service law firm with more than thirty practice groups, focused on serving regional business clients with high-quality personalized service.\nThe Billing Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks within the finance department, including but not limited to:\nPreparing invoices for legal services to clients\nAnswering client inquiries on billings\nProcessing/posting client payments and preparing deposits and reports as requested\nProcessing/documenting of over-payments and write-offs\nProcessing of workflow opening matters & setting up billing profiles\nAssisting in the setup of client billing records/opening clients & matters\nProcessing billing rate changes\nProcessing departing Attorney financial information\nOffering excellent customer service internally to Attorneys and other employees\nAd hoc projects as requested\nGeneral and other office duties as requested\nRequirements\nAssociates Degree in Finance/Accounting or at least 3 years of experience in detailed finance work\nStrong math skills\nAbility to relay financial data to managers and clients\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nAbility to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues\nDetail oriented\nAbility to work under tight deadlines\nStrong organizational, time management, and prioritizing abilities\nProficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook\nUnderstanding of billing software and basic accounting concepts (knowledge of Rippe & Kingston, a/k/a Surepoint billing software is a plus)\nPrevious experience with law firm billing is preferred\nDevine Millimet offers competitive compensation and attractive growth opportunities along with an excellent benefits package.
