There is currently no automated test coverage and no test stack has been chosen yet, so you will build mobile automation from scratch, including selecting the tools and approach. You will be the first automation engineer on the mobile side.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nEvaluate options and choose the mobile test automation stack (tools, language, device strategy), and justify the decision to the team\n\nDesign and build a mobile test automation framework from scratch for the React Native app (iOS and Android)\n\nAutomate critical user flows and build a stable regression suite\n\nRun tests on emulators, simulators and real devices (or a device cloud)\n\nIntegrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline\n\nAnalyze test results, investigate flaky tests and keep the suite stable\n\nWork closely with developers and manual QA, help define test strategy and release criteria\n\nDocument the framework and help the team adopt it\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience setting up a mobile automation framework from scratch, including choosing the tooling\n\n4+ years in QA Automation, including 2+ years in mobile test automation for iOS and Android\n\nHands-on experience testing React Native applications\n\nHands-on experience with mobile automation tools (for example Appium, Detox, Maestro, XCUITest, Espresso) and understanding of their trade-offs\n\nSolid programming skills in at least one language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java or Kotlin)\n\nExperience integrating tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar)\n\nGood understanding of test design, test pyramid and regression strategy\n\nExperience with real devices, emulators/simulators or cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs or similar)\n\nEnglish: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher\n\nWill be a plus\n\nExperience with Detox specifically\n\nExperience with API testing (Postman, REST)\n\nExperience in fintech, trading or other high-load financial products\n\nExperience with performance or load testing\n\nExperience introducing QA processes and mentoring
