In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical solutions related to bookkeeping, project management, and system integrations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to a product used in both hosted and on-premises customer environments.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, develop, and maintain applications using OpenEdge 12.2/12.8 and JavaScript.\nSupport and enhance both WebClient and browser-based versions of the application.\nDevelop and maintain integrations/interfaces with external systems.\nWork with OpenEdge, Oracle, and SQL databases for application development and optimization.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.\nParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.\nCollaborate with QA to ensure product quality and reliability.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.\nSupport deployments and customer-specific configurations in hosted and on-premises environments.\n\nRequirements: \n4+ years of software development experience.\nStrong expertise in OpenEdge 12.2/12.8 and Progress ABL (4GL).\nSolid JavaScript development experience.\nStrong database experience with OpenEdge DB, Oracle, and/or SQL Server.\nExperience developing and supporting web-based applications.\nExperience with application integrations and interfacing.\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.\nExperience working across the full software development lifecycle.\nAbility to take ownership of complex technical challenges.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nA quality-focused approach to software development.\nAbility to balance technical requirements with business needs.\nA proactive mindset and willingness to drive improvements.\n\nNice to Have: \nExperience with ERP or business management software.\nKnowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial systems.\nExperience with project management modules.\nExposure to cloud-hosted and customer-hosted application environments.\nUnderstanding of web server configurations and deployments.\n\nSoft Skills: \nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to mentor and support less experienced team members.\nStrong stakeholder management and
