The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end contracting lifecycle for vendors and participating providers, with a particular focus on agreements that support the Company’s Medicare Advantage and Commercial operations, while also supporting the Company’s medical groups and internal operational teams. This position will also be responsible for assistance in developing contract playbooks and contract workflow processes.\nOur Paralegal position requires a hybrid of legal, analytical, business, and project-management skills, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating provider and vendor agreements; managing contract intake, workflow, and approvals; maintaining contract templates and playbooks; tracking key terms, obligations, and renewals; supporting risk-bearing and value-based arrangements; and partnering closely with business stakeholders to bring agreements to signature efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.\nYour Responsibilities and Impact will include:\nDraft, review, negotiate, and manage a high volume of vendor and participating provider agreements, including amendments, statements of work, and ancillary documents, on behalf of the Company and its subsidiaries.\nManage the full contract lifecycle-intake, drafting, negotiation, approval, execution, and renewal-and maintain accurate contract records, key-term tracking, and reporting within the Company’s contract management system. \nSupport the structuring, drafting, and administration of risk-bearing and value-based provider arrangements, including capitation, shared-savings, and other risk-sharing agreements, in coordination with attorneys and business leaders.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and standard operating procedures to drive consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across contracting activities.\nRoutinely collaborate with key business segments-including network, finance, compliance, and operations-to support the Company’s strategic initiatives and to provide general contracting guidance.\nWork with in-house attorneys, other paralegals and contracts professionals, and outside counsel when necessary.\nRequired skills and experience:\nAbility to work in a startup fast-paced environment, independently as well as collaboratively and operating under tight deadlines\nBachelor’s degree; paralegal studies degree, paralegal certificate, or comparable contracts or legal training a plus\nMinimum 5 years of experience managing, drafting, and negotiating commercial, vendor, and/or provider contracts in a corporate legal, contracting, or compliance department, or at a law firm\nDemonstrated experience drafting and negotiating provider and vendor agreements\nExperience working within a contract management system and managing contract workflows, key-term tracking, and reporting. Experience with IronClad preferred.\nEffective interpersonal and team communication skills\nExcellent drafting, negotiation, and writing skills\nProven organizational and project-management skills, as well as flexibility, and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities within designated time frames and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment\nMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving member experience\nDesired skills and experience:\nCandidates with direct experience in health care or insurance contracting (in particular Commercial lines, Medicare and Medicaid) will be given preference.
