We are seeking primarily industry professionals to teach and share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields.\nCourses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks.\nFace-to-face interaction is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment.\nFaculty are responsible for facilitating student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.\nFaculty develop course syllabi and lesson plans and apply teaching techniques to best achieve course and programmatic objectives.\nAll DeVry instructors will participate in a comprehensive faculty training program and ongoing faculty development activities to ensure the highest quality instruction. \nAs you explore this opportunity, we invite you to view this brief video highlighting how our faculty engage in meaningful student support.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives. \nOrganizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials. \nUses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students. \nModels effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning. \nSets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories. \nEnsures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. \nDemonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.\nEmbraces and integrates the responsible use of AI technologies in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.\nDemonstrates the ability to recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic work.\nCompletes other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Technology, or a closely related field is required, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in cloud computing, distributed systems, networking, cybersecurity, or a related computing discipline.\nApplicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with their application.\nDegrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.\nThree to five years of applied professional experience in cloud computing, distributed infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud-native technologies.\nDemonstrated experience with cloud architecture and cloud-enabled software development, including infrastructure provisioning, containerization, and deployment of applications within cloud platforms.\nIndustry-recognized certifications or professional credentials relevant to cloud computing, cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps practices.\nStrong subject matter expertise in cloud technologies, combined with effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse learners.\nKnowledge of secure and responsible cloud operations, including identity and access management, data protection, regulatory considerations, and cloud security best practices.\nFaculty must have a commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.\nAdditional requirements driven by state licensing, institutional policy, or accreditation standards may apply.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nIndustry certifications in cloud platforms or cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent industry-recognized credentials).\nExperience with cloud-native development practices, including containerization, microservices architecture, serverless computing, and orchestration technologies.\nExperience implementing DevSecOps frameworks, including continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated security practices.\nExperience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including workload migration, cloud cost management, and cloud governance.\nExperience with programmatic or regional accreditation processes, including outcomes assessment, curriculum mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nActive membership or engagement in professional technology or cloud-related organizations to maintain current industry knowledge.\nExperience integrating cloud-based laboratories, virtualized environments, or platform-based learning environments into post-secondary instruction to support hands-on learning.\nTwo to five years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level, preferably in cloud computing, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, or software development.\n\nPay:\nVisiting Professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. \nPay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session.\nPay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or
