This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing ArcGIS Enterprise environments, developing and guiding enterprise GIS strategies, and integrating geospatial capabilities into broader organizational IT and business workflows. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign and implement ArcGIS Enterprise architectures, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and Enterprise Geodatabases \nDevelop system architecture diagrams and deployment strategies for cloud and on-prem environments \nConfigure and manage ArcGIS Enterprise environments to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements \nIntegrate ArcGIS platforms with enterprise systems \nSupport deployment automation and DevOps practices for geospatial systems \nProvide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior staff \nPerform system performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting \nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions \nEnsure QA/QC and adherence to enterprise GIS standards and best practices \nEstablish and implement GIS governance frameworks, including roles, policies, and decision-making structures \nDevelop and maintain policies for data access, sharing, security, and metadata management \nSupport the alignment of GIS initiatives with organizational priorities and strategy \nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field \n5-7 years of experience in GIS with a focus on enterprise systems \nStrong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store, and Enterprise Geodatabases) \nExperience with ArcGIS Online and hybrid deployments \nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure) \nExperience with security protocols and identity management (AD, SSO) \nExperience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) \nKnowledge of web services (REST, APIs) and system integration \nStrong understanding of system architecture and infrastructure design \nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell) \nExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) \nExperience supporting utilities, infrastructure, or government clients \nKey Competencies\nSystems thinking and architecture design \nProblem-solving, troubleshooting, and issue resolution \nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills \nAbility to lead technical teams and mentor staff \n*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.\n*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
