Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nLead the planning, design, and execution of site/civil engineering projects from concept through construction.\nDirect multidisciplinary design teams in all aspects of project delivery, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utility design, and associated calculations and reports.\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term relationship development and management.\nLead business development initiatives, including client outreach, proposal preparation, and contract management.\nIdentify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and enter new geographic and market sectors.\nCollaborate with Dewberry teams across the organization to deliver complex, high-impact projects and leverage the firm's full range of capabilities.\nDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans to drive successful project performance.\nManages subcontractors\nGuide projects through local, state and federal regulatory review processes, including land use entitlements, site plan approvals and environmental processes.\nProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for junior and mid-level staff.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nBS degree in Civil Engineering.\n10+ years of progressive experience in the design and management of land development & site/civil capital improvement projects, in institutional, aviation, municipal, and/or Federal markets.\nVirginia Professional Engineer (PE) license.\nProficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong project management skills, including comprehensive experience in contract management, project finance, schedule development/management, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams.\nExtensive knowledge of local permitting and regulatory approval processes in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro region.\nStrong construction administration capabilities.\nOutstanding written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.\nProficient in mentoring staff, technical leadership and driving project success.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\nMust have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
