Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nLead and manage large-scale highway, roadway, and transportation infrastructure projects from planning through design and delivery. \nPrepare and oversee design plans, engineering estimates, technical specifications, and project reports. \nDevelop conceptual and final roadway designs, including alignments, grading, drainage, utilities, traffic control, construction staging, signage, and pavement markings. \nServe as a trusted advisor and client manager for public agencies and utility clients. \nMentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and project staff. \nDrive business development initiatives that expand market presence and increase revenue growth. \nCollaborate with marketing teams on client strategies, capture plans, proposals, and pursuit efforts. \nBuild, develop, and retain a high-performing team in partnership with Operations and HR. \nLead cross-functional teams and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. \nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. \nMassachusetts Professional Engineer (PE) license required. \n15+ years of experience in transportation, highway, roadway, or related civil engineering disciplines. \nDemonstrated success managing complex transportation and utility infrastructure projects. \nStrong expertise in roadway design, site grading, drainage and utility design, stormwater management, and maintenance and protection of traffic. \nWorking knowledge of FHWA, MUTCD, AASHTO, MassDOT, MBTA, and Massport standards. \nProficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. \nExperience working with MassDOT, MBTA, Massport, and local Massachusetts agencies preferred. \nProven track record of business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth. \nStrong leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver exceptional client service. \nValid driver's license with a clean driving record; local travel required. \nWhy Join Dewberry?\nThis is an opportunity to shape the future of transportation infrastructure in New England while helping to grow a thriving practice.
