Preferred location is Panama City however, the position offers the flexibility to work in any of our NW Florida offices. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nCoordinate visits with clients and regulatory agencies in the field.\nConduct soil, hydrology and vegetation inventory, species assessments and surveys and plant identifications.\nPrepare environmental permit applications.\nComplete permit compliance monitoring.\nDocument and summarize results of field investigations and analyses.\nPrepare plans, specifications, maps, exhibits and supporting documentation for client and regulatory approvals.\nProvide client and regulatory agency coordination.\nSupport proposal preparation, contract execution, and budget/schedule adherence.\nPerform technical work and develop project execution strategies.\nEvaluate site conditions and select wetlands identification, mitigation and regulatory approval strategies.\nPrimary focus is to execute project activities with client and project team and coordinate with regulatory agencies.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nA Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, or related field is required.\n5-10 years’ relwork experience is required.\nProficiency with ArcMap/GIS, AutoCAD and/or Microstation a plus.\nCapability to execute and coordinate environmental permitting and environmental assessment activities with internal/external clients and regulatory agencies.\nKnowledge of Florida environmental regulations and permitting, Regulation submittals, Wetland or Environmental design, EPA Rapid Bio-Assessment, and a NEPA background would be considered a plus.\nProfessional Wetland Scientist Certification a plus.\nAuthorized Gopher Tortoise Agent or ability to obtain within 3 months.\nAdditional Requirements:\nAbility to work in a team environment\nRegular field work in a variety of seasonal conditions.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nLocal and occasional statewide travel is required.\nJoin Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
