The team player we seek must have a BS degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA and have a NJ PE license. The candidate will be responsible for managing interdisciplinary projects, preparation of contract documents, managing subconsultants, monitoring budgets, schedules, administering quality control program, and performing reviews of work. The candidate must have experience writing technical proposals, the ability to function as a client manager, and possess in-depth experience in the design of highways and roadways, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certain positions are also eligible to receive overtime pay, whereas all non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime (subject to approval).\nIn addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise the performance of all facets of highway engineering including design of horizontal and vertical geometry, utility relocations, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, preparation of right of way and coordination of drainage design, traffic signals and electrical/lighting systems for a variety of project types and clients.\nPrepare contract documents including: Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates\nPlan and coordinate all aspects of work\nPrepare scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments\nAssist in the preparation of proposals to provide professional services\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required\nNJ Professional Engineer license required\n10+ years’ experience in highway design\nProficient with NJDOT, NJTA, AASHTO, and MUTCD design standards and procedures\nAbility to manage and provide technical expertise in the following technical areas:Highway/roadway design\nDesign of vertical and horizontal alignments\nConstruction staging and design of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes\nPreparation of plans, specifications, and engineers estimates\n\nMicrostation and OpenRoads Designer required\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nProficient with MS Office software\nValid drivers license and clean driving record required\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
