Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nServe as Engineer-of-Record, Senior Engineer, or Project Manager on Transportation projects, depending on project specifics\nPerform and collaborate on drainage analyses with other Drainage staff\nPrepare drainage plans, reports, construction quantities, cost estimates and specifications for transportation projects\nPerform QC reviews of design documentation and plans prepared by internal staff and other consultants\nCommunicate and collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with other professionals and subconsultants to successfully deliver quality projects within budget and on schedule\nOversee project design activities, supervise production efforts, and mentor less-experienced engineers\nMeet and build strong working relationships with clients and permitting agencies\nPrepare marketing materials and serve as Drainage Lead during project pursuit presentations\nPerform other management, marketing, and professional networking activities\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree in a water resources field is a plus)\n7+ years of relevant FDOT drainage/water resources design experience\nValid Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, or the ability to acquire it within 6 months after hire\nExperience with FDOT drainage design criteria, standards, and procedures\nExperience with permitting requirements of Florida Water Management Districts, FDEP, and USACOE\nExperience with ICPR, ASAD, SUDA, MicroStation, Geopak, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, Civil3D, CADD, ORD, GIS, or similar software.\nThe ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)\nBe a self-motivated professional who is accountable to meeting individual and project goals\nJoin Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
