Candidate must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail-oriented individual interested in joining our Land Surveying department. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century\nResponsibilities\nAssist the survey project manager with all aspects of the daily office workload.\nSchedule and communicate workload status to Project Manager in order to meet all deadlines.\nDaily uploading and downloading of data collectors and reduction of files.\nSurvey computations for boundary and topographic surveys and construction stakeout.\nDraft Boundary, ALTA, topographic, house location surveys and record plats.\nContinually advance knowledge with upgrades with software and technology.\nWork independently as a one-person field crew or assist field crew as required.\nRecognize and work in a safe manner to comply with all safety regulations.\nCutsheet preparation on a daily or as needed basis.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nMust have High School Diploma. College degree preferred.\nMust have good verbal and written communication skills.\nMust have strong AutoCAD drafting and computing skills.\nMust be able to work overtime as required.\nMust be willing and able to do short term travel.\nMust be proficient with land record research.\nMust be able to work independently.\nMust have diverse survey experience including: Boundary surveys, topographic surveys, GPS control surveys, construction stakeout for residential and commercial projects and cutsheets.\nMust have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.\nMust pass a mandatory drug test.\nProficient with Carlson Survey, Carlson SurvCE and Trimble Business Center software is a plus.\nExperience with VDOT surveys is a plus.\nExperience with laser scanning is a plus.\nExperience with 3D survey drawings a plus.\nExperience with Civil 3D a plus.\nAbility to obtain a security clearance is a plus.\n*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.\n*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
