The team player will join Dewberry’s national Transportation Service Line as part of growing Transit and Freight Rail Practice. Candidate must have a BS degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of rail engineering experience. Knowledgeable of AREMA track design standards and an understanding of signal system, OCS/Traction power requirements.. Certain positions are also eligible to receive overtime pay, whereas all non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime (subject to approval).\nIn addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.\nResponsibilities\nApplies broad knowledge of railroad engineering principles and practices to support design teams and junior engineers.\nProvides a resource of railroad operational, and maintenance practices to design teams.\nWorks on projects of small size or portions of larger projects.\nSupports preparation of written plans, reports and provides overall qc review of contract documents for compliance with AREMA, FTA, FRA requirements.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nBS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.\nPE License is required.\n10 years of experience, with a strong technical background in RR engineering and basic understanding of track design, signals, traction power and maintenance practices.\nExperience in transportation engineering, including inspection and/or design for freight rail or passenger transit facilities.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nLocal experience is preferred.\nA willingness to support business development activities\nExperience working in a team environment.\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
